A mouthwatering Maltese Dish : Stuffed Marrows Recipe

In the past weeks quite a number of us had some spare time on our hands and decided to take the plunge and have a go in the kitchen. We’ve rediscovered the love of cooking and of eating homemade food! :)

Join Chef John whilst he prepares a mouthwatering Maltese dish; namely ‘Stuffed Marrows’.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 round marrows
  • 500 grms beef mince
  • 200 grms ricotta
  • 1 egg
  • 200 grated cheese ( Parmesan , Cheddar , Gruyere )
  • Parsley
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 500 ml beef stock
  • 200 grms passata

Celebrating International Yoga Day & Indian Culture 2015

Indian Culture Celebration 2015

The Grand Hotel Excelsior, in collaboration with the High Commission of India and India Tourism Office (Milan), will be celebrating the International Day of Yoga in Malta on Sunday 21st June. The general public is invited to participate in a Yoga for Harmony and Peace session led by Yoga Guru Master Dr. James Eruppakkattu, the founder of Shanti Yoga School. After completing his studies in Yoga Jivana Satsangha in Ananda Ashram, Pondicherry, he chose to devote himself to the practice of Yoga. Dr. Eruppakkattu qualified as a Yoga teacher at Yoga Madhava Kaivalyadhama Shreeman Mandira Samiti, Lonavla. In recent years he has deepened his knowledge on Kundalini yoga under the guidance of Shri Gurudeva Vagish Shastri.

The Yoga session is free of charge and will take place at the Bastion Terrace, overlooking the Marsamxett Harbour. The 90 minute event starts at 08:30 hrs. No booking is required.

On Monday 22nd June, Grand Hotel Excelsior’s kitchen brigade is inviting you to experience Indian cuisine and culture during an Indian themed dinner that will be served at the Grand Ballroom from 19:00hrs.
