Malta Events: Birgu Fest

Birgu Fest Malta

Birgu (Vittoriosa) is one of Malta’s oldest and most historic cities, and is known as the first home of the Knights of the Order of St. John in Malta. In October, thousands of visitors will flock to this charming city in celebration of Birgu Fest. The festival has gained popularity amongst locals and foreigners alike, and has become a national event showcasing the beauty and history of this archaic city. A number of activities suitable for all ages will be ongoing during the festival.

The Birgu Fest is a highly romantic affair – One can enjoy delightful melodies delivered by choirs and local and international bands, while roaming the candle-lit streets and appreciating the history and architectural heritage of the city.
Adding to the overall experience are historic re-enactments and various musical concerts, ranging from classical to modern. Furthermore, special prices will be offered for the entry to museums and cultural sites. A vast selection of local and international cuisine will be available. The Birgu Fest is certainly an event suitable for all tastes!

The Birgu Fest will be taking place between 10th and 12th October 2014.
