Had an amazing stay, fantastic location, beautiful rooms! Thank you to Eileen in the breakfast bar for her great service, even helping my dad to pick up some of his forgotten Maltese language. Loved it!

Today 6th June I had a lovely experience from the Excelsior Hotel I had one of their cars take me to Old Valletta Not only did he take me to the door in a narrow dead-end street, he helped me ring for the access code as it was a coded entry What a great service

Just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday. Rooms and food were excellent but the attention from the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond and made the celebration extra special. Look forward to returning again in the future.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Although we had booked a land view room when we got there, the hotel staff surprised us with an upgrade to a sea view suite. We also found chocolates and a bottle of Maltese sparkling wine in the room. But the most wonderful surprise was a wish card signed by various hotel personnel which we enjoyed very much. We also loved the pool and the possibility to swim in the sea. We had a very pleasant stay and we want to thank Grand Hotel Excelsior for that. We would definitely return.

I stayed in this wonderful hotel again for two weeks from 22nd March. It was about my 15th stay and to my shame I haven't yet commented in the guestbook. I have stayed in many top class hotels across the globe but this one, with it's amazing location, is by far in the way the best. It has the ability to deliver an absolute first class service in all areas of hospitality while balancing that with delivering a home from home feeling. Each time I arrive it is very much like going home. The food is outstanding; in the morning the breakfast is beautifully presented in a dining room with exclusive views of Manoel Island and the historic creeks of Marsamxett. Lunch venues are varied in the summer and lunch is a perfectly orchestrated casual affair either around the pool or right at the Harbour side. Evenings are a perfect balance of formality, comfort and delicious choices of international food. We loved the taking of coffee, and particularly the almond biscuits, in the comfort of the lounge area of the main bar, served by lovely staff who display the very best hospitality and behaviours expected of staff in the greatest hotels in the world. Staff who I met and made my stay so very special and memorable were Paul, Marita and Eileen in breakfast and Katy in the lounge. A special mention needs to be made of the legend who is Roman in the little hotel harbour. Thank you once again for an amazing stay and I look forward to being back in September.

We stayed in room 572 from 28th March 2017 to 4th April 2017. We have stayed in many 5 Star hotels around the world but the Excelsior would be hard to beat. For me, it was all about your staff. They were always, polite, friendly, attentive to clients' needs, totally professional. Alexsander and Simos deserve particular notice but from reception to restaurant to bars the staff were magnificent. We will certainly be visiting again. Thank you.

Stopping at the hotel for my 65th birthday treat in room 631 which we were upgraded to upon arrival, we have stopped in many 5 star hotels but this hotel is just fabulous, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the evening buffet food is just superb with a different choice each night, this together with the supurb location and facilities has made for an unforgettable holiday Phil and Christine Watchorn

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel last week. The hotel receptionist Amanda couldn't do enough for us. Similarly the hotel itself was very comfortably, the rooms were spacious with great views and lovely and clean. We actually missed a collection from a tour company and the conceige managed to track down the operator and the transport desk got us there in quick time. So we didn't miss out which was really kind. We said 'location, location, location' walking distance from some of the loveliest restaurants in Valleta. We'd highly recommend a visit

Early July we held my daughter's wedding at the Hotel (3 days Indian wedding function) and was impressed with the service and location. All guests (around 200 from all over the world mainly from UK) loved the venue. All staffs were very accommodative and will go out of their way to help. 9 out of 10 (There is always room to improve)

First time at this hotel. The staff were excellent, always a smile and a greeting. Half board is recommended as food is good if not a little to expensive. The steps from the hotel and hill to Valleta are a good way of loosing the calories but not good if you have a disability. They do have transport but it costs unless you go at 10 in morning or 6 in evening. Pool was a great place to cool down and relax. Rooms are excellent but sea view does not always mean a full sea view. Would we return possibly.
